It Is All About You, Your Club And Your Zone
During the weekend, most Lions in the state of Mississippi received an e-mail from Past International Director (PID) Jerome Thompson. PID Jerome is leader of the Global Action Team for Constitutional Area 1 (United States). He is leading a webinar for importance for all Mississippi Lions.
It’s one thing to recognize the direction of the trend line.
It’s another thing to reverse it. That’s what’s happening this year. Lion
leaders have a four-part plan to boost membership. During much of the webinar PID Jerome will discuss this topic.
It’s important that Lions charter new clubs. It’s equally
important that each club experience club growth. At the end of the day, it’s
about retaining individual Lions. It’s about demonstrating the worth of their
leadership. Providing meaningful service at a social distance is another interesting
topic for learning and potential action at the local level.
One unfortunate thing about the webinar is that only about
half of the Lions in the state received an invitation. That’s because the other
half do not have an e-mail address. Don’t leave those Lions behind.
Contact each member of the club. Ask if they received an
e-mail about the webinar. If the answer is the Lion does not have an e-mail, be
a leader to that Lion. Invite them to your home or office to watch the webinar.
It’s important that every Lion in Mississippi hear firsthand the importance of
NAMI.
Webinar attendance requires pre-registration. The e-mail
contained that information. Contact me if you didn’t receive or lost that
e-mail.
Reserve Saturday, August 15th from 9 a.m. until
noon for this special one-time only web event. At the decision of the club president,
this meeting can serve as the August club meeting. The information disseminated
at this meeting will far exceed any local club program.
Best of all the webinar is free and it’s as near as your desktop,
laptop, iPad, iPhone, Android or tablet. The only system requirement is that
your device has speakers. No camera or microphone needed for this meeting.
NAMI’s success depends on individual Lions and clubs. Next time we will discuss the importance of the Zone in NAMI.
